JOCKEY TREVINO CLARK ARRESTED AT SUNLAND PARK

December 13, 2008 – Jockey Trevino Clark was arrested at Sunland Park Racetrack on Friday on charges of attempted murder and aggravated burglary.

According to a report in the Las Cruces Sun-News, Clark was taken into custody without incident at 11:50 a.m. (MST) by a New Mexico State Police street crimes unit working in concert with the U.S. Marshall’s Service and the Sunland Park Police Dept. State Police captain Richard Williams said officers received an anonymous tip that led them to the racetrack, where Clark was working as a jockey.

Clark is being held at the Dona Ana County Detention Center without bond while he awaits extradition to Louisiana, Williams said.
